Job Title: Engine Design & Testing Engineer (Gasoline, Electric & Hybrid)Location: Puebla, MexicoProject Duration: 12 monthsCompany: SEGULA TechnologiesPosition OverviewSEGULA Technologies is seeking an Engine Design & Testing Engineer to support a project with in Puebla. This role focuses on design control, validation testing, and project milestone tracking for gasoline, electric, and hybrid powertrain systems. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper development, validation, and release of engine components through the different phases of the product development process.Key Responsibilities- Control and manage engine component design using PTC Creo and CATIA V5.
- Coordinate and monitor functional and durability testing activities.
- Track and manage project milestones according to the PEP process, including phases such as prototype development, tooling readiness, and releases for pre-series, Series 0, and SOP.
- Support project planning and coordination activities aligned with Volkswagen development standards.
- Generate and manage AEKOs, technical changes, and cost-saving proposals.
- Ensure compliance with Volkswagen engineering standards and DIN design requirements.
- Manage and maintain test catalogs related to function and durability validation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper integration of engine systems and peripherals.Technical Requirements- Experience working with CATIA and/or PTC Creo for 2D and 3D design activities.
- Knowledge of KVS/Connect or similar engineering data systems.
- Understanding of project management processes, including PEP and AVON methodologies.
- Experience with engineering change management and AEKOs.
- Knowledge of Volkswagen testing standards and validation procedures.
- Familiarity with engine systems and peripherals for gasoline, electric, and hybrid vehicles.
- Understanding of sensors, electrical harnesses, and related vehicle systems.
- Experience with quick connectors, hoses, and tubing used in engine applications.Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in automotive product development or powertrain engineering is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.Languages- English: Minimum B2 level required.
- German: B1 level is desirable.
