Engineering Lead Position Overview

We are seeking a highly senior, hands‑on Engineering Lead to guide our engineering organization through its next phase of innovation and scale. This role combines deep technical expertise with mentorship, architectural leadership, and the ability to design and deliver foundational framework components across our platform.

You will partner closely with product, AI/ML teams, and engineering leadership to ensure our systems integrate seamlessly and perform reliably. This is both a technical leadership and individual contributor role—ideal for someone who enjoys building, guiding, and architecting in equal measure.

Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Architecture

Lead the architectural design and implementation of foundational framework components across mobile, web, backend, cloud, and AI systems.

Ensure smooth integration of all platform components (mobile, backend, database, AI pipelines, search, and administrative tools).

Drive technical design reviews, coding standards, and engineering best practices.

Partner with AI teams to design scalable data pipelines and agentic orchestration systems.

Hands‑On Engineering

Contribute directly to codebases (React Native, React, .NET, Python).

Build reusable libraries, tools, and shared components to accelerate engineering velocity.

Diagnose and resolve complex issues spanning multiple services and stack layers.

Mentorship & Team Development

Mentor engineers across teams; help elevate engineering craftsmanship.

Guide less experienced developers in debugging, architecture, and problem‑solving.

Foster a culture of high ownership, continuous learning, and technical excellence.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work with product management to translate business needs into technical strategies.

Coordinate with AI/ML teams using Azure AI Foundry and agentic orchestration frameworks.

Maintain strong alignment with DevOps, QA, and platform teams to ensure end‑to‑end integration.

Required Technical Skills Cloud & Infrastructure

Azure experience required (compute, security, networking, storage, pipelines, monitoring).

Experience building resilient, scalable cloud-native systems.

AI & Data

Strong knowledge of

Azure AI Foundry

Agentic orchestration frameworks

Python AI/data pipelines

Understanding of vector search, LLM orchestration, embeddings, and retrieval workflows (preferred).

Application Engineering

Mobile: React Native (iOS required; Android a plus, or willingness to lead Android porting).

Web: React for admin or customer‑facing interfaces.

Backend

Expert-level experience with:

.NET (C#)

Python (particularly for AI/data workloads)

Databases & Search

Strong proficiency with relational databases:

Postgres or SQL Server

Familiarity with search technologies such as:

Symptics (or equivalent search engines like Elasticsearch, Solr, Meilisearch)

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3-5 years in senior/lead roles.

Proven track record of leading engineering teams or cross-functional technical programs.

Demonstrated ability to design and ship complex multi-component systems.

Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Experience in early-stage or high-growth environments is a plus.

Bonus Skills

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Knowledge of observability tools (App Insights, Datadog, Grafana).

Experience with mobile deployment pipelines (TestFlight, App Center).

Prior work with LLM applications, RAG architectures, or hybrid AI solutions.
