We're looking to bring on a Java Backend Developer to construct and continuously improve scalable, high-throughput services supporting mobile and web experiences relied on daily by thousands of professionals. You'll work as part of an agile squad delivering secure APIs and dependable microservices — apply today to help build backend systems capable of operating at scale

Responsibilities

• Architect backend services built with Java and Spring Boot
• Develop RESTful APIs that serve both mobile and web application platforms
• Build microservices designed to be secure, dependable, and performant
• Fine-tune database structures and data access layers to support greater scalability
• Integrate with external APIs and connect third-party platform capabilities
• Work alongside engineers, product partners, QA teams, and architects to bring solutions to fruition
• Take part in system design conversations, code review sessions, and architectural planning
• Address problems arising in production while improving both reliability and performance
• Produce clean, well-tested, and maintainable code aligned with sound engineering practices
• Support improvements to CI/CD pipelines, automation efforts, and modern development approaches

Requirements

• Two-plus years of experience applying Java within production-grade backend systems
• Practical experience using Spring Boot to build services and APIs
• Capability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute within an Agile/Scrum environment
• Strong sense of ownership when delivering backend features from initial design through release
• Solid understanding of REST API design and core microservices concepts
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
• Knowledge of persistence frameworks including JPA/Hibernate or comparable ORM solutions
• Comfort with Git version control and collaborative development workflows
• Testing-oriented approach with experience in unit and integration testing frameworks
• Strong analytical capability paired with practical problem-solving skills
• Clear communication abilities suited for technical discussions and code review conversations
• English proficiency at B2 Upper-Intermediate level

Nice to have

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
• Familiarity with Docker for containerized development and deployment workflows
• Experience using Kubernetes to orchestrate microservices environments
• Understanding of OAuth2 for implementing secure authorization processes
• Background with Single Sign-On and related authentication patterns
