Java Developer

• 6 Month Contract with extensions
• Hourly Rate: 12-14/USD - Montly Mexican pesos $35,954.00 to 39,300Montly
• Mexico - Fully Remote EST time

Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Java Developer for one of our enterprise retail clients. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and services that support critical retail operations and customer-facing platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building cloud-native microservices using Java and Spring Boot, developing RESTful APIs, and working within modern DevOps and Agile environments.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions that drive business value.

Required Skills & Experience:

-2+ years of backend development experience, specifically within Java v. 17-21+.

-Experience developing REST APIs.

-Hands-on experience with:

Spring Boot

Spring MVC

Spring Data JPA / Hibernate

-Experience designing and implementing Microservices Architectures.

-Strong understanding of SQL and relational database design in addition to PostgreSQL.

-Experience working with:

Docker

Kubernetes

OpenShift

-Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

-Strong knowledge of:

OAuth2

SSL/TLS

-Experience working with JSON/XML data formats.

-Proficiency using IntelliJ IDEA and modern development tools.

-Experience within Agile/Scrum development environments.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

-Experience with Spring Security

-Experience deploying applications within Azure or AWS cloud environments.
