Job Title: Java Application Support Engineer / Java Production Support Engineer Location: Mexico (Remote)Salary: MXN $50,000 – $60,000 per month + Benefits
We are looking for a Java Application Support Engineer to join a technology team responsible for supporting and maintaining critical enterprise applications in a production environment.This role requires strong Java troubleshooting skills , along with experience analyzing application issues, investigating logs, and working with SQL databases and Unix/Linux systems. The engineer will collaborate closely with development teams to resolve incidents, identify root causes, and improve application stability.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support for Java-based enterprise applications in productionInvestigate and resolve production incidents through log analysis, debugging, and SQL queriesPerform root cause analysis and work with engineering teams to implement long-term fixesMonitor application health and respond to system alertsTroubleshoot performance issues related to application code, database queries, or infrastructureCollaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to ensure system reliabilityParticipate in release support and change management activitiesCreate and maintain documentation, troubleshooting guides, and runbooksIdentify opportunities to improve operational processes and automate repetitive tasks
Required SkillsStrong experience with Java debugging and troubleshootingSolid SQL skills for data investigation and query analysisExperience working in Linux/Unix environmentsAbility to analyze application logs and diagnose system issuesExperience supporting enterprise applications in a production environmentStrong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred ExperienceExperience working in financial services or enterprise systemsFamiliarity with Spring Boot or Java-based microservicesExposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with monitoring or ticketing tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or ServiceNow
EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
