Java Support Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve application and production issues.
  • Perform code debugging and log analysis to identify defects and root causes.
  • Manage incidents and communicate effectively with users, application owners, and stakeholders.
  • Improve application stability and performance by identifying recurring issues and recommending permanent fixes.
  • Work with Engineering teams to automate operational processes and alerts.
  • Participate in change management activities to minimize production risk.
  • Build and enhance runbooks and operational documentation.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to monitor application health and service performance.
  • Troubleshoot and support proprietary technologies.

Required Skills:

  • Strong Java programming experience.
  • Good understanding of Data Structures and Computer Science fundamentals.
  • Experience troubleshooting applications in development or production environments.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience working on Linux/Unix platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Financial Services industry experience.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, or cloud-based data platforms.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field.
