Technical Lead – Backend & Systems (Java, Spring, Modern C++)
Guadalajara, Mexico

Lead the engineering team through the full SDLC, ensuring that high-quality, performant code is delivered across multiple concurrent projects.Act as a "Player-Coach" by contributing to the most complex coding tasks in Java and C++ while conducting rigorous code reviews for the team.
Manage technical dependencies and resource allocation across multiple projects to ensure timely delivery without compromising code integrity.Establish and enforce best practices for unit testing, documentation, and system design; mentor mid-level and junior engineers to elevate their technical skills.
Serve as the final escalation point for production incidents, utilizing deep-dive debugging skills to resolve issues in both managed (Java) and unmanaged (C++) environments.
Facilitate clear technical discussions between engineering, product, and QA; provide transparent progress updates and technical risk assessments to management.
Advanced expertise in Java (Multithreading, JVM performance, Spring ecosystem) and C++ (C++11/14/17, STL, manual memory management, and RAII).
Working knowledge of Python (for scripting/data analysis) and Go (for building efficient, scalable microservices or tooling).
Proven experience bridging different stacks, specifically calling native C++ libraries from Java applications (via JNI, JNA, or gRPC).
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-native architecture.
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to lead architectural discussions and influence team members toward technical excellence.
Experience using Jira or similar tools to manage team velocity, sprint planning, and technical debt backlogs.
