We are seeking a

• *Technical Lead - Node.js / AWS Fullstack**

to lead a team of six Full Stack developers within MDC, supporting a customer-facing application.

This role combines strong backend cloud engineering expertise with technical leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will break down user stories into actionable technical tasks, guide implementation decisions, and ensure delivery quality while remaining hands-on in development.

• *Key Responsibilities
• *Technical Leadership
• Lead a team of 6 Full Stack developers in MDC.
• Break down functional requirements into detailed technical user stories.
• Guide architecture decisions and enforce coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure test coverage and quality.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for complex issues.
• *Backend & Cloud Development
• Architect and develop services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Maintain and support legacy components in Core Java where applicable.
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs.
• Develop scalable services within AWS environments.
• *AWS Cloud Engineering
• Work hands-on with:
• EC2
• RDS (PostgreSQL)
• S3
• SNS / SQS
• ECS
• CloudWatch
• Ensure cloud resource optimization and monitoring.
• Support production troubleshooting and reliability improvements.
• *Testing & Quality
• Ensure implementation of automated testing using:
• Cypress
• Mocha / Jest
• Drive best practices in unit and integration testing.
• *Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Product, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Support sprint planning and Agile ceremonies.
• *Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 2-3+ years in a Technical Lead capacity.
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Exposure to Core Java (legacy support).
• Strong hands-on AWS experience (EC2, RDS, S3, ECS, SNS/SQS, CloudWatch).
• Experience designing REST APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Mocha, Jest).
• Strong English communication skills.

• Experience leading nearshore or distributed teams.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Experience in customer-facing enterprise applications.
