Lead Python Software Engineer

About The Role In this role, you will provide technical leadership for the modernization of a large-scale healthcare platform that supports long-term sustainability and continuous evolution. You will own key architectural decisions, guide modernization initiatives, and collaborate with customer architects, engineering leaders, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing healthcare solutions with lasting business impact

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and implementation of full-stack solutions using Python, Django, and React across multiple platform modernization initiatives
• Define architecture, engineering standards, and technical approaches that improve platform scalability, maintainability, reliability, and long-term sustainability
• Partner with customer architects, engineering leaders, and cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with platform strategy and deliver modernization initiatives that support business objectives
• Drive application modernization, including upgrades across Python, Django, React, databases, infrastructure, and application dependencies
• Guide engineering teams through technical design reviews, code reviews, and implementation best practices to ensure consistent software quality
• Drive improvements in cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, observability, automated testing, and operational excellence across the platform
• Support technical planning, estimation, and risk management throughout the software delivery lifecycle while balancing business priorities, technical risks, and delivery objectives
• Mentor engineers, encourage technical growth, and promote engineering excellence through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing enterprise-scale full-stack applications using Python, Django, and React
• Strong expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, scalable cloud-native application design, backend architecture, REST APIs, and application lifecycle management
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, modern cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and DevOps practices
• Strong knowledge of React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, including modern frontend architecture and engineering best practices
• Proven experience in leading technical modernization initiatives for complex software platforms and influencing architectural decisions
• Strong ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate effectively with customer architects, engineering leaders, and cross-functional teams
• Excellent mentoring, communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills that support engineering excellence across development teams
• Experience with healthcare, compliance-driven, or other regulated-industry products is considered an advantage
