We are looking for an AWS Migration Engineer to support cloud migration and modernization initiatives for enterprise customers. This role will focus on designing and implementing AWS migration solutions, collaborating with architects and delivery teams, and helping customers successfully transition workloads to AWS.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, migration tools, networking, and cloud operations. They should be comfortable working in client-facing environments, contributing to technical discussions, and supporting migration planning and execution activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of AWS migration solutions using industry best practices and AWS migration frameworks.
• Assist in application and infrastructure assessments, dependency mapping, migration wave planning, and cutover activities.
• Contribute to the deployment and configuration of AWS Landing Zones, including networking, identity, and security baselines.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and implementation activities, helping define and validate recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders throughout migration projects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, migration runbooks, and implementation guides.
• Support effort estimation, migration planning, and risk identification activities.
• Troubleshoot migration-related issues involving infrastructure, networking, databases, and application performance.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure successful migration outcomes.
• Follow security, compliance, and governance standards throughout project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Practical experience with AWS compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
• Experience with VPC, VPN connectivity, security groups, IAM, and hybrid networking concepts.
• Familiarity with AWS migration tools such as AWS MGN, AWS DRS, or AWS DMS.
• Experience supporting infrastructure or application migration projects.
• Understanding of Disaster Recovery concepts, including RTO and RPO objectives.
• Experience working with databases such as RDS, Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or databases hosted on EC2.
• Ability to troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and migration-related issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.

Nice To Have Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or equivalent AWS certification.
• Experience with AWS Control Tower or multi-account AWS environments.
• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Exposure to compliance and security frameworks in regulated environments.
• Previous experience working in consulting, professional services, or customer-facing projects.
