Mid Java Developer

We are seeking a skilled and proactive individual with strong application support experience of 5+ years in Web Platforms.

This role requires expertise in working on Linux environment, troubleshooting system issues and supporting various Web Platforms critical to business operations.

The candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills; technical writing skills, experience in monitoring and operations, and be comfortable working in a geographically diverse environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide escalated technical support for web platform application issues, diagnosing and resolving complex problems through in-depth analysis.

Escalate unresolved issues to development teams with detailed documentation.Perform system monitoring, maintenance, and optimization to ensure platform stability and performance.

Identify and address performance bottlenecks, software bugs, and system errors.Assist in the deployment, configuration, and updates of applications on web platforms.Develop and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles.Manage incidents, communicate effectively with users, application owners, and senior stakeholders across all areas.Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and recommend preventive measures or process improvements.Analyze patterns of failures and issues to advise application owners on permanent fixes, improving infrastructure stability and performance.Utilize tools to automate failure remediation and monitor system health, focusing on continuous measurement of risk and cost.Actively participate in the change management process to manage risk within the production environment.Build and improve runbooks to minimize operational errors and improve operational efficiency.Implement and maintain disaster recovery strategies.Collaborate with development teams to deploy and maintain in-house or third-party applications.Support the integration of new technologies, including AI or cloud-based tools, to enhance application performance and efficiency.Skills / ExperienceA solid understanding of DevOps and CI/CD best practicesFull-stack development experience with proficiency in Java and at least one UI framework such as ReactA working knowledge of relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases and their integrations with applicationsExperience in Content management Systems (CMS) like Adobe Experience ManagerExperience with cloud computing platforms, ideally AWSGood skills in analyzing System and Application logsProficiency with Linux-based operating system, commands and utilities, as well as Configuration Management ToolsStrong ability to debug application issues to identify the underlying root causeGood communication skills with ability to articulate the technical and functional aspects of a development/production problem to help drive solutions with App Dev teams and senior stakeholdersHighly self-motivated and ability to work in a high paced environment with tight deadlines.
