Python FastAPI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design develop test and maintain scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Build RESTful APIs and service components following modular and clean architecture principles
• Develop or support Reactbased frontend components when required
• Implement business logic integrations authentication validation error handling and dataaccess layers
• Produce clean readable reusable and maintainable code
• Create comprehensive unit integration API and regression tests
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to agreed engineering and securecoding standards
• Configure and maintain Gitbased branching pullrequest build test and deployment workflows
• Integrate automated quality checks and testing into CICD pipelines
• Troubleshoot defects performance bottlenecks production issues and integration failures
• Collaborate with architects product owners business analysts QA engineers DevOps engineers and security specialists
• Contribute to solution design technical estimation backlog refinement and sprint planning
• Take endtoend ownership of assigned components from requirement clarification through deployment and production support
• Create technical documentation for APIs application components dependencies and operational procedures

To be successful in this role you should have

• 5 +years of software development experience with strong handson expertise in Python
• Practical experience designing and developing APIs using FastAPI
• Fullstack capability encompassing a Python backend and React frontend
• Strong understanding of modular architecture objectoriented programming clean code and softwaredesign principles
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
• Strong knowledge of unit testing integration testing mocking test automation and codequality practices
• Handson experience with Git and Gitbased CICD workflows
• Knowledge of authentication authorisation API security input validation and exception handling
• Strong debugging structured problemsolving and performanceoptimisation capabilities
• Ability to independently own technical deliverables and collaborate within Agile teams
