Release Manager Overview

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to lead and mature our quarterly release cycles across mobile, web, cloud, and AI‑driven backend systems. This role is responsible for end‑to‑end release planning, execution, governance, and continuous improvement—ensuring smooth delivery through disciplined processes, robust checklists, and clear oversight of Azure DevOps (ADO) workstreams.

The ideal candidate brings strong release engineering fundamentals, exceptional coordination skills, and the ability to operate within a modern cloud‑native and AI‑focused technology environment.

Key Responsibilities Release Planning & Governance

Own and mature the quarterly release process, ensuring predictable and high‑quality delivery.

Define, enforce, and continuously improve release checklists, gates, and approval workflows.

Coordinate cross‑functional teams—engineering, QA, AI pipelines, product, and operations—to ensure alignment and readiness.

Maintain clear release calendars, schedules, and communication plans.

Execution & Delivery Management

Lead release cycle activities including planning, build validation, deployment coordination, and post-release activities.

Drive release readiness reviews, go/no‑go meetings, and retrospectives.

Monitor release progress, manage risks, and surface blockers early to stakeholders.

Azure DevOps (ADO) Oversight

Maintain and evolve ADO boards, workflows, and release pipelines.

Ensure work items are accurately tracked, updated, and aligned with release scope.

Drive process discipline within ADO for visibility, accountability, and traceability.

Quality & Compliance

Validate that QA coverage, test results, and acceptance criteria meet release requirements.

Ensure documentation, approvals, and deployment artifacts are complete and compliant.

Conduct post-release reviews with focus on root cause analysis and process optimization.

Technical Environment Cloud & Infrastructure

Azure cloud platform for hosting, services, and AI integration.

Applications

Mobile: React Native (currently iOS; Android build forthcoming).

Web: React (serving as administrative console and user-facing interface).

Backend

.NET services

Python-based AI data pipelines

Azure AI Foundry + agentic orchestration framework

Data & Search

Relational databases: Postgres or SQL Server

Search engine: Symptics

Required Skills & Experience

3-5+ years of Release Manager or similar role experience in software development organizations.

Strong understanding of release governance, change management, and CI/CD processes.

Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) boards, repos, and pipelines.

Experience coordinating releases across multi-platform environments (mobile, web, backend).

Ability to manage complex stakeholder groups and maintain disciplined communication.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AI/ML pipelines or AI‑enabled applications.

Background supporting .NET, Python, or React-based development teams.

Knowledge of mobile app deployment workflows (iOS and Android).

Understanding of relational databases and search engine integrations.
