We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python to design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will take ownership of core platform components, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires someone proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, while driving technical excellence and innovation.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs for web, mobile, and third-party integrations.

• Build resilient, high-performance services that support real-time and high-traffic environments.

• Optimize system performance, security, and reliability following best practices.

• Ensure compliance with AML, KYC, data privacy, and gaming regulations.

• Develop and maintain data pipelines for analytics, fraud detection, geolocation, and reporting.

• Collaborate with product, data, security, and compliance teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Participate in monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis to ensure system stability.

• Mentor team members and contribute to architectural decisions and best practices.

• Explore and implement new technologies related to gaming, fintech, and AI-driven fraud detection.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing and building scalable backend systems.

• Strong expertise in Python for backend development, automation, and data processing.

• Experience in API development, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

• Hands-on experience with data pipelines, analytics systems, and geolocation-based access controls.

• Solid understanding of system performance optimization and scalability.

• Experience with security and compliance standards (AML, KYC, data privacy).

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in iGaming, fintech, or high-transaction platforms.

• Familiarity with fraud detection systems or AI/ML-based solutions.

• Experience working with distributed systems and real-time data processing.
