Salary Range: CAD $80K-$90K/Month

Job Description:

Required Technical Skills

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE technologies.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Microservices architecture.
• Good understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
• Strong experience in code refactoring, coding best practices, performance tuning, and code optimization.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and deploying scalable, high-performance applications.
• Good knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and SQL, including database development and query optimization.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat application servers and Artifactory for artifact management.
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift and containerized application deployments.
• Primary Skills: Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Exposure to AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployment processes.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Apply appropriate design patterns and engineering best practices to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Perform code reviews, refactoring, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Develop and optimize database queries and stored procedures using Oracle PL/SQL or SQL.
• Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to ensure effective delivery and technical alignment.
• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned deliverables, from requirement analysis through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Work closely with architects, business stakeholders, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Required Qualifications and Soft Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly understand complex requirements and manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and the ability to drive deliverables independently.
• Comfortable working with geographically distributed onsite and offshore teams.
