🔎 About the Role

We are seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator with deep expertise in SQL Server to ensure optimal database performance, security, and availability. This role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to meet business objectives and deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate is highly skilled, proactive, and able to work independently, with strong communication and organizational skills.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Assess database health, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective resolutions
• Ensure proactive monitoring, alerts, and maintenance to optimize system and application performance
• Manage databases with a strong focus on security, scalability, and performance
• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical databases
• Automate operational processes using scripting and tooling to improve efficiency
• Perform capacity planning to support current and future business growth
• Collaborate across functional teams and provide consultative technical guidance
• Deploy database changes following established change management procedures
• Evaluate and implement database lifecycle management strategies

✅ Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience
• 5+ years of SQL and Transact‑SQL (T‑SQL) experience
• Expertise with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
• Familiarity with third‑party backup solutions
• Experience running SQL Server in cloud environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills using native SQL Server monitoring tools
• In‑depth knowledge of SQL Server versions 2012–2022, including upgrades
• Proficiency in PowerShell automation
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

🤖 AI Skills Requirement

All contractor resources are expected to demonstrate baseline proficiency in enterprise‑approved AI tools, including:

• Consistent Use: Maintain at least 90% weekly usage of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot)
• Applied Productivity: Use AI to enhance coding, documentation, data analysis, and decision‑making
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with AI capabilities and apply them to improve delivery quality and speed
