Software Development - Dev Risk Team

Team context: The Developer Risk team is part of the Android Security And Privacy org at Google and its charter is to mitigate the risk from bad developers and minimize friction for good ones in Google play, a platform for distributing mobile applications with billions of users.

Service Context: As an engineer in the Developer Risk team, your responsibilities include but not limited to:

Write query to pull relevant data from DevRisk Data Warehouse and populate dashboard/spreadsheet to represent the required stats.

Identify areas of improvement in developer ban criteria based on the data pulled from Data Warehouse and implement DevRisk toolings including review UI accordingly.

Build pages or new widgets in developer review UI to render required information to reviewers.

Build back-end services to provide data to review UI.

Design and implement enforcement platform functionality to enable developer review.

End-to-end testing, optimization and integration of implemented solutions/services.

Required Supplier Capabilities & Expertise

Computer science, computer engineering, or relevant degrees

Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening)

Minimum of five years of industry experience in relevant areas.

Proficiency in programming in at least one of C++, Java, or Python

Experience with SQL.

Desirable Supplier Capabilities & Expertise

Proficient in Java/C++/python and SQL.

Experience with ETL and Data Pipelines.

Hands-on experience working with systems for collaborative code reviews, version control, and automated testing.
