Software Engineer LV 4 - Java/Spring Boot/ AWS

Overview

CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a wholly owned subsidiary of Confiz LLC, is seeking an Software Engineer IV – Java based in Mexico with 7+ years of professional software development experience. This role is ideal for senior engineers who excel at building high-quality, scalable systems and enjoy working on complex, enterprise-level challenges.

You will design and deliver advanced software solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help shape technical direction while maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, and automation. Strong performers may take on additional technical leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, enterprise-grade software systems using Java and Spring Boot.

• Contribute to system design and architecture decisions for distributed and cloud-native applications.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.

• Collaborate closely with product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Support and enhance DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

• Implement and maintain automated testing strategies (unit, integration, regression, and load testing).

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

• Leverage logging, monitoring, and observability tools to ensure system reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, with strong expertise in system design and enterprise application development.

• Proficiency in Java (required).

• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.

• Strong understanding of RESTful architectures.

• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or AWS SQS.

• Hands-on experience with AWS (required), including:
  • Kubernetes

  • AWS Lambda

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Terraform).

• Solid experience with test automation across multiple testing layers.

• Familiarity with relational databases.

• Experience using logging and monitoring tools such as New Relic or Splunk.

• Domain experience in Retail, Supply Chain, or Supply Chain Outbound Transportation is a strong plus.
