Minimum Qualifications
As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full stack as we continue to push technology forward.
The Multiplatform team's mission is to enable our App developers to build captivating experiences while sharing code across Android, iOS, Web, and emerging surfaces. Our goal is to enhance developer productivity by minimizing duplicated code, ensuring consistency across platforms, and accelerating time to market through server-driven updates that utilize native UI toolkits. The team supports partners across Google including YouTube, Search, and Maps.
As a Software Engineer, you will be supporting the Server Driven UI (SDUI) initiative. The SDUI initiative is focused on Elements and xUIKit (rendering framework in Search that supports rich, interactive, and responsive server-driven native experiences across platforms and clients). You will be working closely with our back-end team developing server-side solutions for SDUI, helping with the integration on the mobile side.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer.
