Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS to manage, optimize, secure, and maintain production database environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support MySQL and PostgreSQL databases in production.
• Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Manage backup, recovery, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery .
• Monitor and optimize database performance, queries, indexes, and resource utilization .
• Work with AWS database services such as RDS, Aurora, EC2, and S3 .
• Implement database security, access controls, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot database issues and participate in 24x7 on-call/production support .
• Automate routine DBA activities using Shell/Python and AWS tools .

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with MySQL & PostgreSQL .
• Good knowledge of AWS infrastructure and database services .
• Experience with replication, HA, backup/restore, DR, and performance tuning .
• Strong SQL and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration and scripting.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.
