The ideal candidate has strong expertise in relational databases, performance tuning, and data modeling, and works closely with business analysts, data engineers, and application teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functionsOptimize SQL performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysisDevelop and maintain data models and database schemas to support analytics and reporting needsCollaborate with business stakeholders and analytics teams to translate requirements into technical solutionsEnsure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systemsSupport ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines in collaboration with data engineering teamsPerform code reviews and enforce SQL development best practicesTroubleshoot and resolve data quality, performance, and production issuesCreate and maintain technical documentation for database objects and processesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field3-5 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer or similar roleStrong proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or ANSI SQL)Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQLSolid understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas, normalization)Experience with performance tuning and query optimizationFamiliarity with version control systems (e.G., Git, DevOps)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting analytics or BI environmentsFamiliarity with ETL tools (SSIS, Alteryx, Knime etc.)Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure SQL, Snowflake, AWS, Fabric, Databricks)Knowledge of Python or another scripting languageExposure to reporting and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)Experience working with large-scale or enterprise data environments
