Looking for a sql programmer to work in sql-based relational database management system for a real estate company.

The database is built to handle financial, operational, and property-related data for residential, commercial, and mixed-use portfolios.

It typically runs on Microsoft SQL Server.You will use a combination of these tools for creating querries, custom scripts, etc.:

Tools for Querying

• ySQL: A tool within Client Central for writing SQL queries to visualize data or build custom reports.

It requires a solid understanding of SQL and the Yardi schema.

• Yardi Standard Reports (YSR): Allows custom report creation using SQL queries formatted in.txt files.

YSR leverages Excel for output, reducing the need for complex SQL aggregates.

• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS): Used for formatted, printable reports but is time-consuming and requires expertise in Yardi's database structure.
• Yardi Data Connect: Provides a secure feed to Microsoft Power BI, allowing queries on most tables for custom visualizations.

The schema is complex and proprietary, with hundreds of tables covering financials, property management, maintenance, and more.

For example, tables like TRANS (transactions), INVOICE, and DETAIL are used for accounts payable and financial reporting.

Challenges: Native reporting tools (ySQL, YSR, SSRS) are limited, often requiring manual exports to Excel or external BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
