About the role: We are seeking a Business Systems Engineer to design, build, and maintain the software infrastructure that connects our core operational systems, including ERP, ecommerce platforms, CRM systems, and online marketplaces. This role focuses on systems integration, automation, and data architecture rather thantraditional IT administration. The engineer will work closely with business leaders hip to translate operational workflows into reliable software systems that reduce manual work, improve data quality, and support company growth.

The ideal candidate is a technical generalist comfortable working across APIs, databases, and automation pipelines in a multi-system environment.

Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain integrations between Sage 100, Shopify Plus ecommerce platforms, and online marketplaces.

Design and maintain data pipelines that synchronize product, pricing, and customer data across systems.

Monitor and troubleshoot system integrations to ensure reliability and data consistency.

Product Data Infrastructure: Implement automation for SKU generation, product metadata management, and product data synchronization. Develop systems that transform internal product data into market place-ready product listings (e.g., Amazon).

Support the creation of scalable product data structures for ecommerce and distribution channels.

Customer Data Systems: Implement and maintain customer identity synchronization across ERP, ecommerce platforms, and CRM systems.

Support CRM integrations and ensure accurate mapping of customer records across systems.

Build automated processes for importing and enriching customer data from external datasets.

Automation & Internal Tools: Develop scripts and internal tools that reduce manual operational work across departments.

Build automated pricing and cost update pipelines.

Support reporting infrastructure for sales, marketing, and operational analytics.

System Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of system architecture, integrations, and internal tooling.

Ensure future maintainability of systems through well-documented code and workflows.

Required Qualifications: Experience integrating multiple business systems (ERP, ecommerce platforms, CRM, or similar).

Strong programming skills in Python or a similar scripting language.

Experience working with REST APIs and third-party integrations.

Experience with SQL and data transformation workflows.

Ability to design and maintain automated data pipelines.

Strong problem-solving ability in complex operational environments.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Shopify Plus, Sage 100, or similar ecommerce and ERP systems.

Experience with marketplace APIs (Amazon, Walmart, etc.).

Experience with ETL pipelines or data engineering workflows.

Experience implementing CRM systems or customer data integrations.

Familiarity with version control (Git) and modern development workflows.
