• Designed a solar thermal concentrator in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, then simulate the absorbed energy using MATLAB. 
• Build the concentrator and performed experiments.
• Put together instrumentation for the system. Took pH, flux, temperature, and radiation measurements.
• Performed energy consumption balances to compare and analyze the proposed project and did a cost analysis to determine the industry potential.

 Project Assistant - CICESE Research Center

Improved by 21% the yield of a solar thermal desalination system by applying metal oxide nanoparticles.

• Synthesized different nanoparticles (TiO2, Al2O3, ZnO) in high-tech chemistry laboratories through diverse methods.
• Assisted in designing, instrumenting, and testing a solar bioreactor using temperature, wind, pH, humidity, solar radiation, and flow sensors.
• Researched and met with potential suppliers to compare prices and lease terms to the center's finances.

 Intern - Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Center (UNAM)

Worked at the material science and engineering laboratory. Learned how to use microscopic techniques (AFM and UV-Vis) as well as how to synthesize thin films through multiple methods (ALD, PVD, and Sputtering).

• Created the link between two laboratories in CNyN and CICESE to be able to work on multidisciplinary projects.
• Was part of a research team focused on energy storage and nanocapacitors.
