- Created a Cloud Solutions provider for the SMB market, with a SaaS business model. This was accomplished in the middle of the COVID pandemic, and nationwide curfew.
- In the first three years of operations, we reached positive EBITDA, and continue growing revenues over 10% annually.
- Established strategic partnerships with reputable brands including Yeastar, Microsoft, Fortinet, and Movistar, to develop a robust commercial portfolio tailored for small and medium-sized businesses in El Salvador.
B2B Director at Telefonica Movistar EL Salvador (2022-08 – 2024-02)
- Overhaul the B2B department, implementing comprehensive changes in both organization structure and stronger product portfolio.
- Achieved over 20% year-over-year growth in new government business, when before it was almost nonexistent.
- Improving the customer relationship, specially with Key Accounts, was an important part for sustaining and growing YoY results.
Head of Business Solution at Digicel EL Salvador (2019-08 – 2020-07)
- Introduced new portfolio of Cloud Solutions for the SMB market, and helped position Digicel as a true Telco contender in the B2B market.
- Reorganized and strengthen the sales channels, developing a new channel partner program, and a sales force of freelancers.
- Reposition the B2B strategy, from being focused on One-Time-Deals, to building a more solid and long term Recurrent Revenue customer base.
Country Manager at Smile Communications Ltd (2015-05 – 2016-06)
Smile Communications Ltd is a startup operation based out of South Africa, with a pure 4G LTE network, which offers Internet and voice services in Tanzania, Uganda and Nigeria.
- Expanded the LTE footprint to 7 new cities in Tanzania, coordinating the engineering efforts and the sales and commercial deployments to these new cities.
- Was able to increase annual sales and ceased revenue fallout, by introducing B2B services, and launching VoLTE (Voice over IP for 4G), which made Smile Communications the first operator in Tanzania to have a pure Voice over IP Mobile Service.
Country Manager at Claro El Salvador (AMX Central América) (2003-05 – 2015-04)
With Claro El Salvador was able to hold multiple position, starting as Commercial Director for B2B, moving to project manager for the implementation of PayTV for Central America, and for the last 7 years held the position of Country Manager. This was achieved by my resilience to reach company goals, entrepreneur mind, and leadership skills.
- Generated $400 million in annual revenues, and grew subscriber base 3 to 4% annually, between mobile, fix lines, ADSL and Pay TV. Responsible for managing Claro's P&L, and achieving EBITDA targets year after year.
- Positioned Claro as No 1 in Market Share and as a recognized leader in the industry, coming from a third place in the market and a brand with no equity.
- This was achieved by organizing a strong leadership team and a solid distribution channel, which managed over 2,000 employees.
- Created a business of $120M in annual revenues, by successfully deployed Pay TV services in Guatemala, Honduras Nicaragua and El Salvador, by building from scratch an HFC (Hybrid Fiber/Coax) and a Satellite network. This was the first operation where AMX introduced PayTV as part of the portfolio of services.
- Grew revenues by double digits in B2B services by leading the Sales Team, for both mobile and fix enterprise solutions. The B2B unit became a key revenue source for Claro, and the provider of choice for Enterprise solutions in El Salvador.
