Opto-Mechanical Calibration System for Machining Temperature Measurement

• Designed and developed an opto-mechanical calibration system from conceptual design through manufacturing, assembly, testing, and experimental validation.
• Designed mechanical components and fixtures in SolidWorks, considering manufacturability, dimensional tolerances, material selection, assembly, and equipment integration.
• Manufactured prototype components through CNC and conventional turning and milling, performing machine setup and selecting cutting tools and machining parameters for steel, aluminum, and copper.
• Operated CNC equipment with FANUC and Fadal controls and developed machining operations using Mastercam.
• Diagnosed mechanical, manufacturing, assembly, and experimental issues and implemented corrective design and process modifications based on testing results.
