My postgraduate studies were focused on Cancer Biology. I studied the mitochondrial dynamics and function in cancer cells, investigating how mitochondrial alterations contribute to cancer progression and resistance to therapy. Additionally, I performed sequencing to identify differential gene expression in drug-tolerant persister cells, aiming to uncover the molecular mechanisms underlying their survival and resistance to conventional treatments.
