About the Project

We are building a large-scale, high-quality image dataset of real-world objects for AI and computer vision research.

The project requires the collection of approximately 500,000 original photographs across 32 categories and 180 sub-categories defined in a provided taxonomy.

Each task consists of capturing one distinct, recognizable real-world target object per image across varied:

Locations

Backgrounds

Angles

Lighting

Weather conditions (where applicable)

All assets must

Be correctly categorized as per guidelines

Be original (no stock, no internet, no AI-generated images)

Include original EXIF metadata

Follow all given technical and legal guidelines

Role Overview

As a Freelance Image Data Collector, you will capture and submit images of real-world objects following strict technical, quality, and metadata standards.

You will work independently and submit data in batches via our platform.

Key Responsibilities

Capture high-quality photographs of assigned targets based on the taxonomy.

Ensure the object is clearly visible, identifiable, and unobstructed.

Provide correct metadata

Follow all capture, framing, and quality instructions.

Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and safety guidelines.

Compensation

Paid per approved image - $43 for 200 images with maximum earning potential upwards of $800 in 1 month (Pay per accepted image is 21.7 cents i.e. $0.217)

High performers stand to achieve higher earnings based on high volume delivery.

Compliance

Only capture in public/permitted spaces

No people, faces, private interiors, or PII

No copyrighted, restricted, or unsafe content

No stock, no internet images, no AI images

Violations result in rejection and removal from the project.
