## Responsibilities

We are currently expanding If Insurance current offshore setup in Malaysia, with a Mid/Senior Java Developer.

The ideal candidate will be joining a team that is responsible for the company’s digital communication infrastructure and the company electronic archive. This system is to be used by internal customers but also delivers data to our self-service channels which is used by our customers.

• You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, documentation and on-time delivery of new solutions and maintenance of both new & existing solutions. The primary work will be based on the Java framework.
• The ideal candidates will need the capability to cover business analysis, software development, automated testing, and documentation. The team is focused on DevOps processes and therefore also maintain their applications themselves.
• You will also be required to understand and question business requirements and analyze the existing system to develop the smartest solutions.
• You will be working in a cross functional, agile scrum team, with colleagues located in Denmark and Kuala Lumpur.
• You should exhibit excellent communication skills and possess self- motivation to remain current in both application development practices and technology industry standards.

## Qualifications:

Technical Requirements (Must have)

• OOP Proficiency
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Java development
• Backend: Java 17, Spring boot, JPA /Hibernate
• Proficiency in API testing and unit testing tools (SoapUI, JUnit, Mockito, Postman)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Basic knowledge in SQL
• Basic knowledge in CI/CD pipeline like Jenkins
• Experience with version control systems (preferably Git; others acceptable such as SVN, TFS/Azure DevOps, CVS)

Technical Requirements (Good to have)

• Frontend development experience with React, HTML5, CSS
• Experience with messaging and job processing tools (ActiveMQ, JobRunr)
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Familiarity with integration frameworks like Apache Camel
• Basic knowledge of insurance products and business processes
• Experience working within a DevOps team or open to DevOps mindset.

• Communicates effectively within and outside the team

### Education:

BSc or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field.
