• *JAVA DEVELOPER – Job Summary**

As part of its growth, the company is expanding its IT operations in Kuala Lumpur to support its “follow-the-sun” model across multiple business areas including Fund Services & Administration, Pricing and Master Data, Custody, and Market Services.

The IT team in Kuala Lumpur will work closely with business support teams and IT headquarters located in Paris and Luxembourg. They will regularly interact with the Quality of Service team (responsible for production stability), infrastructure and service providers, as well as external data vendors.

• *Main Responsibilities
• Support business operations by configuring systems and developing new features for Java applications.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness by monitoring production systems, analyzing incidents, and performing root cause analysis with preventive recommendations.
• Maintain and improve code quality and test automation practices.
• Monitor technology trends and propose innovative technical solutions to improve productivity and business efficiency.
• Maintain and enrich technical documentation, procedures, and production support processes.
• Ensure development and production support processes are kept up-to-date and optimized.
• *Work Experience
• Junior: 0–2 years of experience as a software developer.
• Experienced: 2–6 years of experience as a developer (Waterfall or Agile methodologies accepted). Basic understanding of development lifecycle (testing, code quality, design).
• Senior: More than 6 years of experience as a developer (Waterfall or Agile methodologies accepted). Strong understanding of development lifecycle (testing, code quality, design). Prior experience as a technical lead is an advantage.

Experience supporting production systems for business users is highly valued.

Experience in finance, banking, or insurance industries is preferred.

• *Academic Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field (alternative learning paths such as bootcamps are acceptable).
• Professional certifications are a plus (ITIL preferred).
• *Required Technical Skills
• Proven experience as a backend Java Developer.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring and/or Hibernate.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git preferred, RTC acceptable).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with JUnit and automated testing tools.
• *Languages
• English (mandatory)
• French is a plus

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM3,194.45 - RM6,000.00 per month
