▪ Familiarized with the daily shrimp farm operation metrics and assisted with shrimp husbandry activities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
▪ Good understanding of the application of water conditioners, pro-biotic and other additives to promote good health of shrimp and water quality.
▪ Participated in animal health surveillances and monitoring including daily observations and recording, reported abnormal behaviour patterns. Performed preliminary diagnosis (skin scraping, gill biopsy and examination) on the suspected animal with diseases symptoms.
▪ Assisted veterinarians with veterinary procedures. Conducted and monitored the treatment for all quarantined and diseased animals in all system by following prescribed animal treatment plans and preventive health protocols under guidance of attending veterinarian and after consultation with curator.
▪ Conducted routine water quality analysis, interpreted test results, generated analysis report and reacted to rectify water quality problem after consultation with curator.
▪ Person in charge of jellyfish collection, acquaintance and breeding activities. Planned and executed the husbandry activities and timely stock replenishment of exhibits.
▪ Sourced, tracked and filled order for laboratory supplies, animal feeds, livestock and equipment for LSS.
▪ Proper maintenance of departmental databases and documentations in audit readiness at all time including all livestock records, water quality, laboratory inventories and other records.
▪ Planned and executed the other scientific and curatorial projects as assigned by curator.
▪ Facilitated guided tour for school’s participants and visitors. Delivered extraordinary customer service to all aquarium guests.
