Highly organized and diligent professional with a strong educational foundation in Chemical and Environmental Engineering, eagerly pursuing an employment opportunity. Distinguished as a process safety trainee during an internship with PETRONAS, undertaking critical responsibilities in process hazard analysis, layer of protection analysis, and risk assessment relating to chemical plant operations. Experienced in AutoCAD drawing, the MathWorks MATLAB programming software, Aspen Plus software, and Microsoft Office tools, skillfully applied throughout diverse university projects centered around the design of chemical plant design processes.
I completed my internship as a Process Safety Intern at Malaysian Refining Company Sdn Bhd (MRCSB) where I gained valuable hands-on experience ensuring compliance with safety protocols in a chemical plant. My role was to ensure the completion of the weekly Pre-Activity Safety Review (PASR) and risk assessment (RA) from the Operation Excellence Management System (OEMS) database, ensuring timely assessments by all personnel. Notable projects during my internship included contributing to a LOPA study for the implementation of an independent high-level alarm system for the protection of the LPG storage vessel and assisting in the PHA Revalidation for Unit 14 Saturated Gas Concentration Unit (SGCU) by meticulously reviewing P&IDs and documenting findings in the HAZOP tables.
These experiences strengthened my technical skills and teamwork abilities.
I am a graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia. I am proficient in AutoCAD, MathWorks MATLAB, Aspen Plus, and Microsoft Office. I have skillfully applied these tools in diverse university projects focused on designing chemical plant processes.
