Hi. I have completed my bachelor's and master's in biomedical engineering. I did my internship in Australia during my bachelor studies, working as a research assistant. In my spare time, I paint and crochet hats for winter.
Moreover, I have an urge to learn new things . In fact, I have some knowledge about construction works as I worked with my father, while managing school work, making quotations for tower works and as such. I have one and a half years of expertise in research work in the STEM field.
With a diverse background encompassing roles such as Accountant at Al Bowirda Trading, Sales Representative at Roudh Lotas Trading & Services, and Part-time Customer Quotation Specialist at Fatmi Traders & Contractors in the Sultanate of Oman, I have honed my skills in handling responsibilities efficiently in high-pressure environments. Moreover, my professional journey extends to the realm of scientific research, where I served as a junior researcher overseeing laboratory operations and utilizing advanced instruments such as Supereyes3.53 microscope, Slot antenna, and LC81 Conductivity meter. I possess hands-on expertise in handling and euthanizing zebrafish larvae, executing laboratory techniques to high standards, preparing reagents, and adeptly processing samples aseptically.
Proficient in statistical and mathematical approaches, I have presented scientific reports, written protocols and theses, and conducted a research project on EEG signals for Amphetamine Type Stimulant users. Additionally, I bring technical prowess in AutoCAD and Solidworks for technical drawings, EEG data collection and analysis, and proficiency in Animal tracker software (ToxTrack) for acquiring speed and distance information. My ability to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment, coordinate research teams, liaise with external clients, and work cooperatively in a stressful environment reflects my commitment to excellence and adaptability in varied professional settings.
I hold a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Malaya, where I achieved a commendable CGPA of 3.69. My coursework delved into diverse subjects such as Tissue Engineering, Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, Telemedicine, Rehabilitation Engineering, Biomechanics, Bioinstrumentation, Medical Imaging, and Health Technology. During this period, I conducted a noteworthy research project investigating the differences in EEG signals for Amphetamine Type Stimulant users compared to normal subjects.
Additionally, my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering (Honours) from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, with a CGPA of 3.2, provided a strong foundation in core subjects like Neurobiology, Artificial Organs, Biomaterials, Thermo-fluids, and more. I also completed a valuable 12-week internship at Griffith University, contributing as a visiting scholar to a project on the conductivity of a sand and saltwater mixture matching electromagnetic properties. Another significant project during my undergraduate years focused on the effects of administering a D2 Receptor Antagonist on locomotor activity and sensory responses.
These academic experiences have equipped me with a well-rounded education and practical skills in biomedical engineering.
