Uwaci is building technology to digitize, verify, and coordinate real-world realities. We are looking for a Backend Developer Intern to join the team working on a new identity and authorization infrastructure.

Primary Skills / Technology Stack

• Python
• FastAPI
• PostgreSQL
• REST API development
• Backend systems architecture

Secondary / Specialized Skills

• Authentication & authorization systems
• Identity and access management
• Cryptography & digital signatures
• API security
• Tokens, credentials & verification systems
• Event and audit logging

You should be comfortable building secure backend systems and interested in solving complex problems around identity, authority, verification, and trust.

Internship: 3 months

Commitment: Minimum 30 hours/week

Work mode: Remote

Compensation: Unpaid internship, with potential transition to paid positions for strong performers.
