  • Engagement: Hourly contract (independent contractor)

Role Overview

One of our global AI-focused clients is seeking a Docker-Based Data Validation Engineer to design and implement data validation workflows embedded within Docker build pipelines. This role focuses on enforcing metadata standards, validation logic, and quality checks to ensure datasets and model artifacts meet compliance and integrity requirements before deployment.

You will collaborate closely with data engineering, machine learning, and DevOps teams to create reliable, reproducible, and fully validated containerized workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize Dockerfiles with embedded data-validation steps
  • Implement structured LABEL metadata for dataset versions, schemas, and lineage tracking
  • Build validation scripts in Python or Bash for schema checks, data integrity, and quality assurance
  • Integrate validation logic into CI/CD pipelines with automated fail-on-error controls
  • Establish and document standards for Docker labeling, validation processes, and data governance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure reproducibility and compliance across environments

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years of DevOps or platform engineering experience
  • Strong expertise in Docker and Dockerfile best practices
  • Proficiency in Python or Bash for automation and validation scripting
  • Solid understanding of data formats, schema validation, and data quality enforcement
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and container registries

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MLOps workflows and data versioning practices
  • Familiarity with tools such as Great Expectations or similar data validation frameworks
  • Exposure to Kubernetes or container security tooling
  • Prior involvement in LLM research, evaluation, or developer automation projects

Engagement Details

  • Contractor assignment (no medical/paid leave)
  • Duration: 2–4 weeks
  • Commitment: 20–40 hrs/week with 4-hour PST overlap
  • Location: India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Bangladesh, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil
