NYSC Intern

Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing and monitoring EHSQ policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Support routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Participate in incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Help ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements (e.g., FMEnv, NESREA, DPR/NUPRC, where applicable).
• Support toolbox talks, safety inductions, awareness programs, and Permit To Work process.
• Assist in documentation, record-keeping, and preparation of EHSQ & S reports.
• Tracking and documentation of relevant EHSQ & S KPIs.

Requirements:

• BSc/ HND in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of HSE/EHS principles and workplace safety standards.
• Prior industrial training (SIWES) or exposure to safety-related roles.
• Good analytical and observational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and follow safety rules strictly.
