Python Developer

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer who can work across different areas of software development and take ownership of technical problems from end to end. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between backend development, APIs, databases, automation, integrations, cloud services, and AI powered applications. They should also be able to work with other programming languages and technologies when required.

What you will do

• Build and maintain reliable Python applications, services, and APIs.
• Develop backend systems and integrate third party services and APIs.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including data modelling and optimisation.
• Build automation, scripts, and internal tools that improve engineering workflows.
• Work with technologies such as C#/.NET and other programming languages where required by the project.
• Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into software products where required.
• Debug complex technical issues across applications, infrastructure, and integrations.
• Work across different projects and technologies, adapting quickly to changing technical requirements.
• Take ownership of features from development through testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Who we are looking for

• Strong professional experience building software with Python.
• Working experience with at least one additional programming language such as C#/.NET, Java, JavaScript, or Go.
• Solid understanding of backend development, APIs, databases, and software architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, Git, and modern development practices.
• Comfortable working with different frameworks, tools, and technologies rather than being limited to one technical area.
• Experience with AI/ML, automation, data processing, or third party integrations is an advantage.
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to independently figure out unfamiliar technical problems.
• Someone who enjoys being the technical generalist on a team and can move comfortably between different engineering challenges.
