Job Description

• Design, build, and maintain custom WordPress themes from scratch based on Figma designs
• Develop bespoke WordPress plugins to extend platform functionality
• Translate Figma/design files into pixel-accurate, responsive frontend experiences using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Build and maintain custom HTML email templates for marketing campaigns, ensuring cross-client compatibility
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and internal stakeholders to deliver quality builds on schedule
• Perform ongoing site maintenance, including performance optimisation, security updates, and troubleshooting
• Ensure all builds are responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible
• Manage and optimise staging and production environments

Requirements

• 2–4 years of hands-on WordPress development experience
• Strong proficiency in custom theme development (no reliance on page builders)
• Demonstrated experience building custom plugins using WordPress APIs and hooks
• Solid command of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP
• Experience implementing designs directly from Figma into functional web pages
• Familiarity with building responsive HTML email templates (compatible with Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.)
• Understanding of WordPress best practices: hooks, filters, template hierarchy, CPTs
• Experience with Git version control.
