Adamu Elijah

My name is Adamu Elijah a volunteer at UNV (United Nations Volunteers).

I am result-focused MEAL enthusiast with more than 3 years’ experience in implementation, monitoring, evaluation and accountability of programs activities in Humanitarian context and experienced in working with a range of humanitarian donors (e.g. OFDA, ECHO, WFP, USAID, GFFO etc.) in North eastern Nigeria. Highly innovative, pro-active and creative in proffering solutions that address local needs and challenges; demonstrates leadership quality with ability to execute project activities within budget and achieve goals and qualitative deliverables with limited supervision.

I am experienced in coding languages (xls) geospatial analysis, developing and operationalizing a comprehensive evaluative monitoring plan. I possess excellent strategic, analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving skills, with progressive experience in program implementation of large donor-funded activities within the WASH, FSL, Health and Nutrition sectors. I have the capacity to see the big picture while keeping detailed orientation and ability to make sound judgment and decisions with proven strong management skills.

I have excellent facilitation and presentation skills; and communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing in English and Hausa languages and basic knowledge of other local language in the Northeast.

I effectively prioritize, manage time, organize and ensure best practices in my work to yield outstanding results at any given circumstances. When it comes to people, I am a strong believer in team work and empowering people. I strive to create a positive and motivating environment that nurtures high performers.
