I gained hands-on experience in Geophysical Survey using Electrical Resistivity with Stumberger VES array and Electromagnetic with Wenner Hp array to identify subsurface water-bearing formations. I supervise basement complex Borehole drilling; logged formation changes with depth, determined drill termination point, and oversaw gravel packing and sanitary seal installation to prevent surface contamination. Also supported borehole pump installation based on yield rate and carried out Environmental Impact Assessment, focusing on soil corrosivity classification.

Different mineral composition was observed within the study area such as quartz, feldspar and mica (biotite and muscovite). These shows that the rock type is Granite (igneous rock) features like joint was seen on the rock. Also mineral like hornblende was observed on the rock (metamorphic rock). Structures like quartz vein and gold mineralization was present within the studied area.

The mineral composition observed was hornblend(black) and Actinolite (dark green) which make the rock type to be Amphibole. Light and Dark bands color was observed on the rock. The light band which is typically Quartz and Feldspar while the dark band is Biotite mica and hornblende.
Type was named Gneise.
Rock was observed within the study area which looks like slate in nature. Features like Joint, Foliation, lineation and Fold was present in most of the rock in the studied area. Structures like gold mineralization within the shear zone was observed. These shows that the study area is Metamorphic rock. Strike and Dip was measured on each rock with the use of compass clinometer and GPS was used for measurement of Longitude and Latitude.

We observe the Rock Type, Formation and Depositional Environment. The formation studied are Northern Bida Basin and Southern Bida Basin (Lokoja formation). Northern Bida Basin comprises of sandstone, sakpe ironstone, Siltstone and batata ironstone while Southern Bida Basin comprises of Sandstone, Shale and Agbaja ironstone. Based on our observation Bida basin ranges from continental (alluvia fans, braided rivers) to shallow marine or marginal.

We observed the mineral present in the rock by using our lens, colour, the rock type was observed, Strike and Dip was measured by using our compass clinometre and GPS was used to know the Latitude and Longitude of each location.

We studied the magnetic mineral in different Rivers and Dams. The mineral observed was blackish in color which shows that the river contains magnetite. Magnet was used to pick up the magnetic mineral within the river.

We observed the Rock type, Color, Texture, Mineral Composition, Structure and different Features on the rock. The mineral present was Quartz, Feldspar and Mica (Biotite and Muscovite). The mineral composition makes the rock type to be Igneous Rock majorly Granite with features like Joint, Dyke and Cavities (Volcanic, due to gas bubbles trapped in cooling lava). Measurement of Strike and Dip was taken on each rock.
