Construction of 3 suspended floor on Pile Foundation together with Chain Beam.
- Site Setting-Out: Managed daily setting out of building axes, column centers, pile foundations, and structural beam levels using auto levels and optical equipment.
- Pile Foundation Operations: Supervised installation of 89 pile points (12m depth) on swampy terrain, including drilling, bentonite slurry application, and concrete pours.
- Concreting Of Piles +Piles cap +Chain Beam: coordinate concrete pours, conduct slump tests for C25/C30 concrete, and ensure 100% compliance with structural drawings.
- Quality Control & Structural Repairs: Performed Pile Integrity Tests (PIT) and visual inspections; executed structural remedial actions on concrete caps to align with load-bearing specifications.
- Structural Reinforced Concrete Supervision: Interpreted structural drawings and supervised rebar fixing, formwork, and concrete casting for slabs, columns, and beams following BS 8110 standards.
- Progress Reporting: Maintained site logs, labor counts, material deliveries, and progress reports to my senior project managers.
- Issues Observed and Remedy: After concreting of pile cap it was observed that the top set concrete was weak and not suitable for the purpose. The defective concrete was removed to a suitable depth, additional reinforcement was installed and recasting with high grade concrete was carried to strengthen the pile according to specifications.
