Blessing is high-performing MEAL personnel with expertise in planning, implementation, and evaluation of integrated public health services in Nigeria; these include Nutrition, Tuberculosis Control, TB/HIV integration, Malaria, OVC, Health System Strengthening, Knowledge Management, Organizational Capacity Assessment/Building, and Strategic Partnership. Blessing is currently leading the programme monitoring and improvement unit with Global Alliance for Improve nutrition Nigeria.
My experience has prepared me to make an immediate impact to your organization and to a great extent has geared me towards understanding how to approach issues and finding solutions. Am currently working with Global alliance for improve nutrition (GAIN) Nigeria as the Country program monitoring and improvement manager where I lead/oversee program monitoring across the GAIN Nigeria in-country portfolio and ensure that the learnings from monitoring and research are used to make improvements to program and to strengthen strategy while providing regular project status updates with critical analyses and possible solutions. Prior to joining GAIN, I was the Monitoring and Evaluation/ Strategic Information Lead for Caritas Nigeria where she led on the establishment and coordination of effective Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting, and Learning (MERL) systems for over 461 faith-based health facilities in the areas of TB prevention, treatment, and care, across 20 states in Nigeria under the Global Fund public private mix TB project; while providing MEL support on USAID Strengthening Civic Advocacy and Local Engagement (SCALE), and UNICEF nutrition projects.
Her works including consultancies span over 25 states across Nigeria.
I has expertise in Project monitoring, health system strengthening, knowledge management, organizational capacity assessment/building, interactive problem-solving methodologies and strategic partnership, which she has applied in planning, implementation, and evaluation of integrated public health services while working for Caritas Nigeria and other organizations including Catholic Relieve Services (CRS) on several projects intervention cutting across Tuberculosis Control, TB/HIV integration, Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN) malaria campaign, orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) program and nutrition, with funding's from USAID, Global Fund, Centre for Disease Control (CDC) and UNICEF. Her ICT skills in operational field monitoring and data analysis (Power Bi, ODK, Kobo collect toolbox, advanced Excel, DATIM and DHIS2) has led to remarkable success stories in her years of work experience.
I am studying my doctorate degree in public health (PhD in-view) with Texila American university and holds a Masters’ Degree in Public Health Management (MPH) from International Telematics university Rome-Italy, an advanced Post graduate diploma (APGD) in Public Health and Research from James Lind Institute India and a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc.) Applied Microbiology from Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
