- Inspect engines for oil, fuel, and water leakages, abnormal noise and/or smoke and record condition statuses. Carryout appropriate maintenance under the supervision of my duty engineers.
- Sound lube oil tanks daily, grease moving parts, and drain old lubricating oil from crankcase for improved engine performance
- Check filters, clean and remove debris, and handle hand tools in the removal of rocker arms, cylinder covers, pistons, etc., during engine overhaul, and spares replacement.
- Check engine temperature settings, confirm good and report status in checklist.
- Clean machinery space and garbage area.
