Test and troubleshoot switchgear, including a 33kV HV incoming substation, and associated protective relay feeders; plan, coordinate and control efficient execution of all electrical maintenance activities across the unit.
Carry out Electrical Planned Maintenance (PM) on LV & MV plant motors, including visual inspection, Insulation Resistance (IR), Winding Resistance (WR) and Polarization Index (PI) tests for MV motors, no-load tests, and functional testing of control and protection equipment against motor feeder and LCS drawings.
Carry out Electrical PM on power transformers, including IR, WR and oil Breakdown Voltage (BDV) tests, cooling fan motor tests, sock tests, and functional testing of control and protection equipment; oversee transformer oil filtration and oil topping.
Supervise Electrical PM on UPS/DCP battery banks, including specific gravity testing, per-cell voltage/temperature measurement and electrolyte level checks.
Troubleshoot electrical panels, transformers and motor feeders using schematic diagrams; operate, test and synchronize Emergency Diesel Generators (EDGs), Steam Turbine Generators (STGs) and the Gas Turbine Generator (GTG).
Supervise daily routine checks on transformers, UPS and DCP systems, and test, configure and operate Motor Operated Valves (MOVs).
Maintain SAP historical maintenance data entry, coordinate and support other section engineers, and ensure smooth running of the unit through regular feedback.
Manage and motivate the team, ensuring coordination and cooperation between departments, and enforce 100% safety compliance (LOTO, PTW, PPE) across all activities, sustaining a zero-incident record.
