About
Network Technician with 2+ years of hands-on experience maintaining network infrastructure, now building a career in cybersecurity. Recently completed a 7-week remote cybersecurity internship and the Mastercard Cybersecurity Job Simulation (Forage), and practise regularly on TryHackMe (100+ labs). Currently studying for SOC L1 analyst skills. Looking for a cybersecurity internship or entry-level SOC / Blue Team role where I can keep learning.

- Built a small virtual lab (pfSense, Kali, Ubuntu) and used Wireshark and tcpdump to spot an unencrypted login; wrote and tested basic Snort IDS rules and set up Fail2ban and an ELK logging pipeline.
- Completed guided penetration-testing exercises in a lab: scanning (Nmap, OpenVAS), exploiting practice web apps (DVWA), privilege escalation, and an Active Directory attack path with BloodHound; wrote up findings in a report.
- Completed introductory digital forensics and malware analysis tasks (disk imaging, file recovery, memory analysis with Volatility 3, sandbox analysis of a malware sample).
- Scanned a practice AWS environment and Terraform/Docker files for misconfigurations (Prowler, Checkov, Trivy) and added security checks to a GitHub Actions pipeline.
- Received a letter of recommendation from the Director at the end of the internship.
