Dear Human Resources Manager,

I saw a posting for Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) in Abuja location posted online. I have been a long-time Health Management Information System Officer (HMIS)/ Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in Niger State Ministry of Health. I have strong admiration and passion for Monitoring and Evaluation System, so I am so much excited to submit my resume for consideration.

I have 11 years of experience in Public Health monitoring and evaluation/Data management in Niger State Ministry of Health as a State Health Management Information System (HMIS) officer. Due to my effort, hardworking and technical competence I have a progressive promotion from a career service staff to a Program Officer (HMIS/M&E officer) and currently a Deputy Director Health Planning Research and Statistics. In resumption to office in 2012 I am able to increase the reporting rate (availability of data) for informed decision making from 2.5% to 96% in July 2023 with 80% quality level; today Niger State is rated with 3rd position in Health Management Information System in the country for producing quality data for health care management.

I have extensive knowledge of MS Office programs. My experience includes Annual Operational Plan (AOP) development of the Health Sector, Development of M&E frameworks, monitoring design projects and Data generation, collection, Quality assurance, processing, analysis and presentations using recent ICT tools Microsoft Excel, Power Bi, Tableau, ODK, and Kobo collect among others. Also a State Master Trainer in M&E modules, DHIS2, RMNCAH+N Scorecard development, Descriptive Statistics and Data analysis techniques.

As a senior officer in Department of Health Planning Research and Statistics of the Ministry I Participated and contributed immensely in the implementation of program activities in Health System Research, Procurement, Project management, Human Resources, Planning & Budget and Health Care Finance units of the department.

My personal skills include the ability to multi-task, stay organized and to adjust to different work conditions in a fast and timely fashion. They also include being dependable, organized and observant with the ability to pay close attention to details. I have an influential personality and possess strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly.
