WORKSHOP ASSISTANT at MALARIA CONSORTIUM - BORNO STATE (2025-06 – 2026-06)
Malaria Consortium supports the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP) and State Malaria Elimination Programmes (SMEPs) across Borno state and LGA's to implement Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) involves the administration of monthly courses of antimalarial drugs to children during the high malaria transmission season to maintain therapeutic drug levels and prevent malaria.
The National
Training of Trainers (NTOT) is designed to equip state-level trainers with the knowledge and skills required to effectively cascade SMC, SMC VAS and SMC- RI training to state and LGA teams. This will ensure quality, consistency, and improved programme outcomes in the 2026 implementation cycle.
- Coordinate the e-attendance for the duration of the meeting.

COMMUNITY ENUMERATOR (VOLUNTEER) at CHABASH DEVELOPMENT AND HEALTH INITIATIVE - MAIDUGURI (2025-03 – 2025-03)
- Responsible for collecting data, entering data and any other responsibilities for which called upon to carry out. The data collection process may be carried out using quantitative, qualitative methods, or as required using an electronic data collection tools.
- Expected at all times to follow sampling methods as directed by CDH.
- Compile, record and code information derived from specific forms into a predefined form or database.
- Ensure that the supervisor is kept abreast of completed assignments and progress.
- Identify and report any issues that may arise while attempting to obtain valid data.
- Analyse the authenticity of the information provided by ensuring direct contact with each targeted study population (population of interest).
- Interpret interview questions to assist respondents in understanding them and providing eloquent answers.
- Double check information on the survey form or information pads to ensure the accuracy of the information.
- Engage in data entry in case where paper base options are used.
- Comply with quality and research ethics during and field works (this includes data protection and information confidentiality of respondents or target project participants).
- Participate in debriefing sessions to share field experience about the community and entire data collection.
- Expected to be respectful of the community and community leadership and membership at all times.
CCCM CAMP MANAGER (SITE ASSISTANT) at INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR MIGRATION (IOM) ROVING BORNO (2018-05 – 2025-03)
- Acting as focal point for all activities and issues in camps.
- Collecting data and managing information on needs of the IDPs.
- Mapping all partners (who, what, where) and facilitate a clear and agreed division of tasks.
- Ensuring the gabs and duplication in the delivery of assistance and service are identified.
- Promote, facilitate and coordinate a participation approach among stakeholders.
- Build trust among camp population.
- Set up leadership and representative governance structure.
- Promote and coordinate capacity building to prepare people for a life after camp.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH VOLUNTEER (NUTRITION) at INTERSOS DIKWA (2017-12 – 2018-04)
- Educate families on balanced diets, locally available nutritious foods, and healthy eating practices.
- Promote exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months and appropriate complementary feeding thereafter.
- Counsel pregnant and lactating women on increased nutritional needs.
- Guide households on food hygiene and safe food preparation.
- Measure and record children's height and weight regularly.
- Identify children who are undernourished or at risk of malnutrition.
- Refer malnourished children to appropriate health facilities or feeding programs.
- Provide follow-up support for children recovering from malnutrition.
- Distribute and promote the use of supplements such as Vitamin A, Iron and folic acid (for pregnant women).
- Monitor and record supplementation coverage.
- Encourage community participation in health and nutrition activities.
- Advocate for food security and nutrition-sensitive agriculture at household level.
- Support campaigns and health days (e.g., Child Health Days, Nutrition Week).
- Identify and support vulnerable households (e.g., those with orphans, chronically ill members, or food insecurity).
- Support follow-up for defaulting clients in nutrition programs.
- Maintain accurate records of nutrition related activities.
- Submit regular records to health facilities.
- Using data to track progress and identify areas needing intervention.
- Work closely with facilities and nutrition officers.
- Support community-based management of acute malnutrition (CMAM).
- Help link families with nutrition rehabilitation programs or clinics.
HYGIENE PROMOTER (WASH) at SOLIDARITIES INTERNATIONAL (SI) DIKWA (2017-06 – 2017-11)
Manage, supervise and coordinate community volunteer example WASHCOMs and WASH maintenance teams in SI WASH Unit operating camps or camplike settings or host communities. Responsible for coordinating hygiene promotion activities, collecting and analyzing data coming from community volunteers. Serves as links between these committees, LGA counterparts (like NEMA/SEMA, Water board) and community volunteers.
- Support and mentor WASH Committees, WASH and Site maintenance team in planning and carrying out hygiene promotion on improving IDPs and communities' risky WASH related behaviors, ensure appropriate use and maintenance of WASH facilities.
- Support and mentor WASH Committees and WASH maintenance team in planning and carrying out cholera preparedness and response initiatives in the camps and cholera hotspots.
