• Conducting Maintenance and repair of all Caterpillar Engines both Gas and Diesel engines (35-series and C-series) in the offshore and onshore platform area and as well as diagnosing and troubleshooting.
• Carrying out major overhaul, repairs, installation and commissioning of reciprocating equipment such as gas and diesel Engines.
• Use Caterpillar ET to diagnose and troubleshoot when there is a problem on site.
• Carrying out predictive maintenance inspection, testing and adjusting based on the equipment running hours such as valve lash, valve height measurement, injection height measurement, Cylinder Head tightness, taking oil sample for oil analysis, vibration measurement, crankshaft deflection measurement, Gas leakage test, taking water sample for cooling water test etc, both Gas and Diesel Engines.
• Carried out maintenance and repair on Atlas Copco and Gardener Denver instrument air compressor.
• Utilize various Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for operation, control, monitor and troubleshooting.
• Understanding and applying Safe Practices in an offshore environment.
• Monitor and record plant operating parameters, make adjustment as required to ensure a safe and efficient running of the plant.
• Carrying out maintenance and repair on pumps, valves and actuators.
• Took Hourly meter reading to ensure proper documentation of export power and sending the data.
• Maintain and update a maintenance log book for every maintenance work done for reference purposes.
• Watch over of all alarms/engine parameters and auxiliaries, monitor and analyse the trend data related to the equipment at all time.
• Perform direct isolation and de-isolation of equipment for maintenance in accordance with plant lock-out and tag-out procedures.
• Calibrate Mechanical Electronic Unit injector (MEUI) with the use of MAK TEST Machine.
• Carrying out lapping of Cylinder head valve during Top end overhaul if the valve guide, valve seat and valve are in good condition.
• Carrying out valve guide and valve seat installation with the use of liquid nitrogen (when the valve guide, valve seat are in bad condition).
• Assist with maintenance records, technical reports and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
• Ensuring that company regulations relating to safety and work permits are observed.
• Carrying out variety of maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as re-kitting of hydraulic cylinders, gland packing of pneumatic diaphragm valves, servicing and Installation of turbo charger new bearing, pump and compressor overhaul.

• Routine maintenance of the main starting two stage reciprocating Compressors (Sperre XA200) and instrument air screw compressors (Gardener Denver WD 18-7 & EN 15-9.5).
• Daily physical Inspection of engines and Engine lube oil management including oil sweetening, calculation of specific lube oil consumption, daily dipstick reading and house keeping.
• Installation and maintenance of main starting air valve type 268IB (Eugine Seitz).
• Maintain and update a log maintenance work done for reference purposes.
• Participate in scheduled safety meetings and training.
