OHSSE site supervisor - Hilong Drilling/Oil Service and Engineering Nigeria Limited - Port Harcourt, River State

Rig 19 and 2 operations at No 16 Christian Home Street, GRA of Abacha road
- Induction of new personnel on board
- Prepare pre-job safety analysis and safety audit
- Coordinate and execute job site health, safety, security and environmental plan
- Assist in accident investigation reporting and recommendation to prevent re-occurrence
- Assist in revision of existing procedures, rules and regulations and suggest changes in HSE matter
- Conduct daily toolbox talk and prepare weekly safety meeting agenda
- Carry out HSE inspection of project site; identifying Unsafe Acts/Unsafe conditions
- Confirm availability of all lists of HSE procedure and relevant documents
- Ensure that relevant procedures cover current daily activities
- Ensures that toolbox-meeting are held before the commencement of job and records maintained
- Confirm attendance of all members of the work-force to toolbox meeting
- Ensures that topics discussed are relevant to the task ahead, and that relevant JHA is used
General Responsibilities
- Conduct daily toolbox talk and prepare weekly safety meeting agenda
- Ensure Flash Point Measurement are checked adequately
- Give helicopter safety briefing and receive helicopter as helicopter landing officer Inspect and maintain life saving equipment (firefighting etc)
- Ensure cordial relationship between workers/host community & management
- Prepare and send end of month HSE report to base office
- Represent the Company When necessary at external activities
- Application of HSE management system and IHEMP
- Participates in HSE audit and inspection
- Identifies training gaps and facilities close out
- facilitates certification of Equipment and Personnel
- corrects in a timely manner deviations from HSE plan
- conducts regular safety meeting for company staff
- Coordinates safe movement of personnel and materials
- Implementation of company journey management plan (Air, land & sea)
- Liaise with clients to ensure that good safety standards are implemented and maintained
