Metering Engineer- Technical Coordinator
Ensure the supervision of Updating and reconciling of customer’s meter accounts vis-à-vis Disco records/account.
Develop and implement smart prepayment meter solutions for residential, commercial and Industrial customers.
Design and deploy advanced metering infrastructure to enable real-time and data analytics.
Configure meter software to meet specific customer requirements and ensure accurate data collection.
Conduct meter calibrations to maintain accuracy and reliability of metering systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional team to integrate metering solutions with existing energy management systems.
Provide technical support and training internal teams, external installers and customers on metering technologies and software.
Develop and implement maintenance strategy for meters installed.
Configure and optimize smart metering firmware to meet specific client requirements.
Perform hardware configurations and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Implement software updates and patches for smart metering systems.
Ensure seamless integration of new features and improvements.
Conduct and supervise on-site installation and commissioning of smart meters, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
Perform field inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance of smart metering infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate smart metering systems with existing distribution company infrastructure.
Ensure interoperability with related technologies and platforms.
Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Address and resolve issues related to smart meter functionality.
Lead team meetings, fostering effective communication amongst the team.
Regional Meter/Revenue Protection Officer
Prevent, Detect and Recover energy losses attributable to the interference with metering installation perpetrated by fraudulent customers.
Ensures that each Maximum Demand Meter meets the performance, functional and technical standards.
Certification and recertification of maximum demand meters installed in the distribution system.
Conduct technical tests on maximum demand meters to ascertain proper functionality.
Meter Standard and Installation Officer
Installation and maintenance of MD and Non-MD Energy meters
Prevent, detect and recovery energy losses attributable to the interference with metering installation perpetrated by fraudulent customers.
Certification and Re-certification of MD and Non-MD meters installed in the distribution system.
